In November, Huay Malai Village became a beacon of hope as two dental teams—the Singapore team and the Thai government team—joined forces to bring essential dental care to the community. For four days, the Sangkhlaburi Church multipurpose building transformed into a bustling clinic where smiles were restored and pain relieved.

The mission was not without challenges. Equipment issues, language barriers, and limited publicity tested the teams’ resolve. Yet, their determination never wavered. With ingenuity, they fixed a malfunctioning pressure pump, improvised with dental chairs, and worked tirelessly to provide care. Translators like Boo Niang and Lindsey played a vital role, bridging communication gaps and ensuring patients felt at ease.

By the end, the teams had treated 366 patients, performing check-ups, fillings, extractions, and more. Children from local schools left with healthier smiles and renewed confidence. Despite hurdles, the mission succeeded through teamwork, compassion, and adaptability.

This story is a testament to the power of unity and determination. Though challenges arose, the teams overcame them, leaving behind not just healthier teeth but also a lasting impact on a grateful community.
