The People We Serve

The community we care for is a population of Thai, Karen, Mon and Burmese people in the wet, mountainous area along Sangkhlaburi District Thailand's western border with Burma. Many are rural poor and uneducated, and some are displaced persons from Burma or their children, who are born in Thailand but without official paperwork. Without documentation, they have limited access to government health services and schools. Most are living hidden lives the community.
