A Greatful Rescue!!

Praise God for the opportunity to be part of rescuing a young man who fainted and became unconscious on our way to visit E, a young man with Down syndrome. It was an ordinary Tuesday, as our team had scheduled a visit with the LanternLight team, a project dedicated to caring for patients with disabilities in Sangkhlaburi.

On the road, we were stopped and asked to help a 24-year-old man who seemed to be suffering from heat stroke. He had fainted on his motorcycle sidecar, which he had been operating with three passengers. Acting quickly, we moved him into the shade to assess his condition. Tik and Pa’ Jen immediately went into nurse mode, using our pressure and SpO2 monitors to evaluate him. His oxygen level was alarmingly low at 84%, and his blood pressure was dangerously high at 160/100. The entire body was very warm.

We checked his airway and found that he was breathing well, so we gave him a sponge bath while we waited for the ambulance. Slowly, his oxygen level rose to 96%, and his blood pressure dropped to 130/90. Thirty minutes later, the ambulance arrived and took him to the hospital.

We thank God for His mercy in allowing this young man to live another day and for the opportunity to be part of the process of helping him. All the Glory be to God!!!
