Free time! with creating art.

Now, is a school midterm  break. Some children in our program have the chance to visit their parents because some of them live with relatives or grandparents. So, the school break is a good and special time for some kids to spend times with their parents.

But for other children who live with their parents, they don’t have the chance to go anywhere during the school break. So they stay at home, playing around the neighborhood, and some help their parents.

For the children who live not far from us, they come to see us about an hour earlier than the usual study time to spend time with drawing and coloring.

In our classroom, we have recycled paper with blank spaces where children can create art. We see that art as a way for children to think and design what they want to express in their drawings, whether it’s nature, their favorite cartoons, or stories from their daily lives, expressed through their art.

In art, there is no right or wrong. The children can design freely. Some kids don’t have enough art supplies at home to fully explore their creativity. So, we are happy to be part of giving them the opportunity to engage in activities, create art, and use their free time for creative thinking during the school break.
